Random team generator
Paste a list of names, choose how many teams you want and get random teams in one click. Use it for sports, classes, games and work groups.
Names are shuffled fairly with your browser’s secure random generator and dealt out one by one, so team sizes differ by at most one.
How it works
- Paste the names, one per line.
- Choose the number of teams.
- Click make teams, and shuffle again if you want a different split.
Fair shuffle
Names are shuffled with your browser’s secure random generator, so every split is equally likely.
Even sizes
Names are dealt out one at a time, so team sizes differ by at most one person.
Shuffle again
Click the button again for a new split. Nothing is remembered between shuffles.
Names with commas
You can separate names with new lines or commas.
Questions
Can I balance by skill?
No. The split is purely random. For balanced teams, sort players by skill and split them by hand.
How many names can I use?
As many as you like, with up to 100 teams.
Are the names stored?
Everything happens in your browser, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
