How it works
- Press Start.
- Press Lap to record a split time.
- Press Stop, then Reset to clear.
Lap and total time
Each lap row shows the time of that lap and the total time since you started. Use laps for running circuits, speeches or steps in a recipe.
Fastest and slowest
Once you have two or more laps, the quickest is marked Fastest and the longest Slowest.
Accuracy
The time is measured with the browser's high-resolution clock, so it keeps correct time even if the display updates late. It is accurate for everyday use but not for official timing.
Keep the page open
The stopwatch keeps counting while the page is open, even in the background. If you close or reload the page, it resets.
Questions
Does it keep running in another tab?
Yes. The elapsed time is based on the clock, not on the display updates.
How many laps can I record?
As many as you like.
Can I resume after stopping?
Yes. Press Resume to keep adding to the same time.
Is it free?
Yes, and nothing is uploaded.
