Toolstia / HTML list generator
HTML list generator
Type or paste one item per line and get a ready ul or ol list. Bullets, dashes or numbers at the start of a line are removed for you, so you can paste a list straight from a document.
How it works
- Paste your items, one per line.
- Choose bulleted or numbered, and the numbering style.
- Copy the HTML.
Bulleted or numbered
Use ul when order does not matter and ol when it does, such as steps in a recipe or a ranking.
Numbering styles
Numbered lists can use 1, A, a, I or i. The style is written as the type attribute on the ol tag.
Links
Turn on the link option and write an item as Text | https://example.com to get a link in that list item.
Cleaning
Leading markers such as -, *, a bullet or 1. are removed, and empty lines are skipped.
Questions
Can I make nested lists?
Not here. Add an inner ul or ol inside a li by hand.
Are special characters escaped?
Yes.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Your list stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
