Toolstia / Deadline calculator

Calculate a deadline

Contracts and school rules often say a task is due in 10 working days. This tool counts them for you, skipping weekends and any holidays you list.

You can also work backwards: choose a deadline and see how many calendar and working days remain.

Enter a start date and a whole number for the length.

How it works

  1. Choose whether you want to find a deadline or count the time left.
  2. Enter the start date and the length, or the deadline date.
  3. Set your weekend days and any holidays to skip.

Weekends differ

Many countries rest on Saturday and Sunday, but Bangladesh and several Middle East countries rest on Friday and Saturday. Choose the pattern that applies to you.

How working days are counted

The start date is day zero. The first working day after it is day one, so 1 working day from a Friday with a Saturday and Sunday weekend gives Monday.

Holidays

Type holiday dates as 2026-12-16, separated by spaces or commas. They are skipped like weekends. Public holidays are not built in because they change by year and region.

Months

Adding months keeps the day of the month where it can. Adding one month to 31 January gives the last day of February.
