Date add and subtract calculator

Find the date that is a number of years, months, weeks or days before or after a start date. It is useful for deadlines, due dates, warranties and notice periods.

Years and months are added first. If the day does not exist in the new month, it moves back to the last day of that month, so 31 January plus one month is the end of February. Then weeks and days are added.

How it works

  1. Choose the start date.
  2. Choose add or subtract and enter the time.
  3. Read the new date and weekday.

How it works

Years and months are applied first, then weeks and days. You can mix them, such as 1 year, 2 months and 10 days.

Month ends

If the day does not exist in the new month, the date moves back to the last day of that month. 31 January plus one month is the end of February.

Leap years

The calculator knows about leap years, so one year after 29 February 2024 is 28 February 2025.

Weekday

The result also shows the day of the week, which helps with planning.
