Blur or pixelate part of a picture

Drag over any part of a photo to hide it with pixelation or blur, then download the edited picture. Use it for faces, number plates, addresses, names and account numbers. Your picture is not uploaded.

JPG, PNG or WebP. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Drop in your photo.
  2. Choose pixelate or blur and the strength.
  3. Drag over each area to hide, then download.

How to use it

Press and drag on the picture to draw a rectangle. When you let go, that area is changed straight away. Repeat for as many areas as you need, and use Undo last area if you slip.

Pixelate or blur

Pixelate replaces blocks of the picture with their average colour. Blur smooths the area. Higher strength makes the effect heavier and harder to undo.

Hide private details properly

A light blur on small text can sometimes be partly recovered with software. For anything sensitive, use a high strength, or cover it with a solid block in another editor.

Metadata

The saved picture is rebuilt from the pixels, so GPS location and camera details from the original are not carried across.
