Toolstia / Text to HTML links converter

Turn web addresses in text into HTML links

Paste text that contains URLs and email addresses and get HTML with each one wrapped in an anchor tag. Choose whether links open in a new tab and whether they carry nofollow.

How it works

  1. Paste your text.
  2. Choose the link options.
  3. Copy the HTML and see how many links were found.

What is found

Addresses starting with http:// or https://, addresses starting with www., and email addresses. Punctuation at the end, such as a full stop after a link, is left outside the link.

New tab

Links open in a new tab with rel="noopener noreferrer" so the new page cannot control yours. Email links are never set to open in a new tab.

Nofollow

Add nofollow if you do not want to pass ranking credit, for example on links in user comments.

Escaping

Other text in your input is escaped so it cannot turn into HTML by accident.

Questions

Does it fix broken links?

No. It only wraps what it finds. Check that each address works.

What about links without http or www?

Plain domains like example.com are not detected, to avoid false matches.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Your text stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.
