How it works

How it reads
The amount 1,250.75 becomes "এক হাজার দুই শত পঞ্চাশ টাকা পঁচাত্তর পয়সা মাত্র". Paisa are added when there are digits after the point, rounded to two places.
Why "শত"
The hundreds are written as "দুই শত" with a space. Some people write "দুইশো" or "দুইশত". All are understood, and you can change the words after copying.

Bank and office practice can differ slightly in spelling. Always read the result before using it on a cheque or a legal paper.
