Toolstia / Number to words converter
Convert numbers to words
Type a number and see it written in words, in English or Bangla. Choose international grouping (thousand, million) or South Asian grouping (lakh, crore), or switch to money mode for cheque-style amounts.
How it works
- Type a number. English and Bangla digits both work.
- Choose the language and how to write it.
- Copy the words.
Two ways to group
International style says 1,250,000 as "one million two hundred fifty thousand". South Asian style says the same number as "twelve lakh fifty thousand". Pick the one your readers use.
Money mode
Money mode writes an amount as on a cheque, for example "Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Taka and Fifty Paisa Only". You can change the currency names. Amounts are rounded to two decimal places and use lakh and crore.
Decimals and negatives
In plain number mode, digits after the point are read one by one, so 3.05 is "three point zero five". Negative numbers start with "minus".
Size limit
Up to 15 digits before the decimal point are supported. In Bangla the tool uses the standard number words, and spelling of a few words can vary between writers.
