Toolstia / Pinterest image metadata remover
Remove image metadata before pinning
Images made with AI tools or edited in design software often carry hidden tags: the software used, copyright fields, AI markers and sometimes location. This tool lists them and exports a copy without them.
Your images stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Drop photos here, or click to choose
JPG, PNG, WebP (AVIF and HEIC if your browser can open them). Up to 30 files, 15 MB each. Nothing is uploaded.
Cleaning rebuilds the picture without its file data. It does not change the pixels, so invisible pixel-level watermarks are not affected.
How it works
- Drop your photos into the box (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 30 files, 15 MB each).
- Read the report of what is hidden in each file.
- Download the cleaned copy and use that file for your post.
AI labels on Pinterest
Pinterest has said that it labels some Pins as AI modified, using metadata in the file and classifier models that look at the image. Cleaning removes the file metadata only. It does not change how the picture looks to a classifier.
Keeping credit and copyright
If you are a photographer or designer, IPTC fields may hold your name and copyright. Removing them also removes that information from the copy, so keep your original file and decide on purpose.
Size and format for Pins
The clean copy keeps the same dimensions. If you also need a Pin-friendly size or a smaller file, use the image resizer and compressor afterwards.
Be honest about AI
Pinterest expects AI-made content to be labelled, and a clean file does not change that. Use this on images you have the right to edit.
Questions
Does Pinterest use metadata to add AI labels?
Pinterest has said it uses metadata together with classifiers. Removing metadata can remove one of those signals but cannot guarantee that no label appears.
Will it remove my copyright text?
Yes, because the copy is rebuilt without any file data. Keep the original if you want to retain that information.
Do my images get uploaded?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser.
Can it process many images?
Up to 30 at a time, 15 MB each.
