Toolstia / PDF splitter and page extractor

Extract or remove pages from a PDF

Pull out the pages you need, or delete the ones you do not, and download a new PDF. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Drop a PDF here, or click to choose

One PDF at a time. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Drop your PDF. The page count appears.
  2. Choose Keep only these pages or Remove these pages, then type the pages, such as 1-3, 5, 8-.
  3. Select Create PDF to download the new file.

How to write page ranges

Separate pages with commas. Use a dash for a range: 2-4 means pages 2, 3 and 4. A dash with nothing after it, like 8-, means page 8 to the end, and -3 means the start to page 3. Pages appear in the order you type them, so 3, 1 puts page 3 first.

Keep or remove

Keep builds a new PDF from the pages you list. Remove keeps everything except the pages you list. Use whichever needs the shorter list.

What is preserved

Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text stays sharp and searchable. Bookmarks, form fields and links between pages may not carry over to the new file.

Privacy

The PDF is read and rebuilt on your device. Contracts, statements and ID documents are not sent to a server.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser tab.

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

No. Remove the password in the program that made the file first.

Can I split a PDF into many separate files at once?

Not in one step. Run the tool once for each range you want, for example 1-5 and then 6-10.

Why is the new file almost the same size?

Shared fonts and images may stay in the file even when only a few pages are kept, so the size does not always drop in proportion.
